Brandelhowe is part of a characterful Lakeland building, in stone and slate, now converted to form four comfortable holiday suites. It is situated in the small village of Portinscale, just one mile to the west of Keswick, in the heart of the Cumbria North Lakes, on the northern shore of Derwentwater. Portinscale has a village store for basic needs. In Keswick there is an excellent supermarket, as well as charming shops, from antique emporia to modern fashion and of course everything for the outdoors that anyone could require. There is an abundance of eating houses for all tastes.

Brandelhowe is a ground floor apartment with direct pavement access. There are two double bedrooms, each with en-suite shower, wash-hand basin and toilet, a lounge with the charming original old cottage grate and range, and a kitchen/dining area. The property has been awarded three stars by the English Tourist Board
