Barn Owls Cottage is located in the charming picturesque village of Chardstock, which lies on the borders of Devon, Dorset and Somerset. There is a thatched 16th Century Inn just 200 yds from the property, which serves lunches and dinners. There is also a Village Store, with supermarkets about five miles away, in both Chard and Axminster. The World Heritage Site of the Jurassic Coast is approximately ten miles away and includes Lyme Regis, Seaton and Charmouth, where fossil hunting is a popular occupation. The National Trust coastline of Beer, Branscombe and Burton Bradstock can also be enjoyed.
Further afield, are the County towns of Exeter, Taunton and Yeovil. National Trust properties within easy distance, include Cistercian Forde Abbey at Chard with it's award winning gardens. Dartmoor and Exmoor can also easily be reached by car.

Barn Owls Cottage in Devon is an exclusive, traditional, stone cottage, set in a lovely garden, with sweeping views over the River Axe Valley. This one bedroom property, to accommodate two guests, has been awarded four stars by Visit Britain.
The property has a large bedroom with king-size bed. Separate dining area with views over the garden and lovely conservatory. There is a fully fitted oak kitchen and bathroom. All linen, bath and hand towels are provided. The property has Freeview TV, DVD player, CD radio, payphone, washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge with freezer compartment.
This lovely Cottage faces south/south west over the River Axe Valley. From the Cottage and secluded lawn, guests can relax in very quiet and peaceful surroundings, enjoying the garden, watching the squirrels and many different species of birds feeding or listening to the owls in the nearby wood. There are many local walks nearby. Garden furniture is provided and there is off road parking available.
