The inland area is mostly agricultural with attractive villages and small towns. Burton Bradstock beach is only 400 metres away, so is within easy walking distance. The licensed beach side café offers snacks and full meals, including local seafood.
The surrounding area is owned by the National Trust and has good walks along the cliffs and in the beautiful Dorset countryside. Burton Bradstock has a post office, a very well stocked Spar shop and two public houses within walking distance. Bridport is four miles away and offers good shopping facilities and a weekly market.
