Viva Las Vegas
It may be the gambling capital of the world, but Las Vegas is bursting with exciting things to enjoy as a family. There is so much to see and do, from hot-air balloon and helicopter rides to aquariums, giant zip lines and dazzling shows. What better way to enjoy your stay than by watching the fabulous acrobats of Cirque du Soleil? You'll also find a range of comedians, magicians and music acts, from traditional Rat Pack singers to superstars like Lady Gaga. There’s so much to do, you’ll struggle to pack it all into just one trip! If it’s just the two of you, a romantic dinner overlooking the fountains at the Bellagio is enough to make sparks fly, followed by a flutter at the casino tables. The Venetian Resort-Hotel even offers Venice-style gondola rides at the hotel, so you can take a romantic boat ride beneath a beautiful (painted) sky!
There is so much to do in Las Vegas you’ll be spoilt for choice.
And you can’t visit Arizona without seeing the Grand Canyon. Just like The Strip, the Grand Canyon is best seen from the sky. Book a helicopter tour and see the stunning rock formations as you fly over them. It might be a pricier activity, but you’ll have come a long way from home and it will be an extra-special memory of your holiday. Or how about trying the Skywalk, an incredible open-air glass walkway that lets you step out over the Grand Canyon with a 1,219 metre-drop below? The kids will love it. A day trip to the nearby Hoover Dam is well worth a visit too, with guided tours of an astonishing feat of engineering that will make your jaw drop!
Booking a helicopter ride to see the Grand Canyon will be a memory to treasure forever, so worth the money!
With a year-round sunny climate, a family break to Florida will be one to remember. With Walt Disney World and LEGOLAND on your doorstep, it's not surprising that Orlando is known as the theme-park capital of the world. The parks are full of magic for every age, and if thrill rides aren't your thing, there are lots of other things these parks have to offer, from air-conditioned shopping experiences to gentle rides and fantastic shows. For couples who are still in touch with their inner child, Universal Studios is home to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and packed full of brilliant rides and experiences.
Join Mickey and friends for a magical trip in sun-soaked Orlando.
A trip to Florida isn’t complete without visiting the famous Everglades National Park. Although you can hike, kayak and cycle together around in the lush world of the Everglades, an airboat ride comes complete with a guide and will speed you across the water as you keep watch for crocodiles and other wildlife.
Keep an eye out for snappy crocs in the water in Florida’s Everglades National Park.
Kissimmee is also a fantastic place to take the whole family for an evening out. Wander around the quirky shops and pick up some souvenirs to take home, before sitting down to a delicious dinner. There are so many places to choose from, and many come with live entertainment too. And you can't go to Florida without visiting at least one of the huge shopping malls. Lighten your purse in the Florida Mall, stocking up on designer clothes at a fraction of the price you’d pay at home. Just make sure you have enough room in your suitcase!
Downtown Orlando is full of urban hot spots for couples to party at or unwind, with lively bars and chic restaurants. But there are also plenty of places to keep families entertained. With The Kennedy Space Center close by and lots of indoor activities, like sky diving and go-karting, you won’t find yourself bored. Or how about a stroll along the iconic Daytona Beach? Events run year-round, ranging from festivals, concerts and live music to spectator sports, racing and motorcycle rallies.
There are endless activities and events held on this famous stretch of Florida sand.
Well known for its sugar-white beaches and the bluest of seas, Mexico is a tropical paradise, where you can take your pick of beautiful resorts. Complete with cooling pools, nearby beaches, spa facilities, children's play areas and so much more, you’ve got everything you’ll need close by. But when you do want to leave the sun lounger behind, there's plenty to keep everyone entertained - here are just a few suggestions.
Powdery beaches and jewelled seas are never far away in stunning Cancún, Mexico.
All Ritmo Water Park guarantees a splashing good time for all the family, and your entrance fee gets you unlimited food and drink while you’re there! You can also take a day to explore the beautiful Isla Contoy and snorkel in its cool waters. If you’re sticking with the water theme, then the Captain Hook Pirate Dinner Cruise is a tongue-in-cheek evening for sure, but great fun nonetheless. For adults only, your cruise will include sailing aboard a pirate vessel, complete with a captain and crew for your service and entertainment.
Book a day trip to Isla Contoy and snorkel in the crystal-clear reefs.
For couples enjoying a romantic getaway, Coco Bongo is a popular nightclub in Mexico with branches in Cancún and Playa del Carmen, which feature energetic acrobatic performances, musical tributes and a buzzing party atmosphere. If you’re looking for a more relaxed vibe, there’s always the beachside club and The Jazz Foundation in Puerto Vallarta to relax in as the sun sets.
